Good Evening,
We have an update to bring you after our officers executed warrants this week.
Yesterday (12th November) officers from the South Targeted Crime Team along with officers from Stolen vehicle identification unit, Skelmersdale Task Force, Preston & Skelmersdale Response, Lancashire Police Dog Unit, Burglary Team and the Targeted Crime Unit, executed five warrants at addresses in Liverpool, Skelmersdale and Ormskirk.
These warrants were executed as part of our enquiries into the thefts of vehicles in Lancashire since the beginning of the year.
Upon searching six addresses, a number of vehicles, which had been reported as stolen, were recovered. They included motorbikes, an e-bike, e-scooters and an e-motorbike.
Five people were arrested, and following consultation with the Crown Prosecution Service, were charged.
They are:
Ryan McNair, 39, of Falkland, Skelmersdale was charged with conspiracy to commit vehicle theft and handling stolen goods.
James Miller, 22, of Langtree, Skelmersdale, was charged with conspiracy to commit vehicle theft and seven counts of handling stolen goods.
James McKeown, 22, of Snowdrop Street, Liverpool, was charged with conspiracy to commit vehicle theft and four counts of handling stolen goods.
Jason Miller, 23, of Inglewhite, Skelmersdale was charged with conspiracy to commit vehicle theft, two counts of handling stolen goods, one count of burglary of a shed building and one count of dangerous driving.
All five were remanded into custody and appeared at Preston Magistrates Court today (13th November). | ||
